About Mr. Rez: Mr. Rez Rahim, founder of the Melbourne Spine & Orthopaedic Centre, is a highly skilled Spine & Orthopaedic Surgeon with international fellowship training in complex spine surgery. His extensive training includes fellowships in minimally invasive spine surgery, deformity correction, hip and knee replacements, and advanced microscopic and endoscopic spinal surgical skills.
Mr. Rahim is a dedicated spine surgeon and orthopaedic practitioner with a focus on improving outcomes for geriatric patients. He has received prestigious fellowships, including one with world-renowned spinal tumor surgeon Professor Peter Varga in Budapest, specializing in En-Bloc resection of spinal tumors and sacrectomies. His commitment to advanced surgical techniques is further emphasized by training at the Neurosurgical Unit at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University in Seouul.
As an active researcher, Mr. Rahim has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and is a frequent presenter at international meetings. Dr. Mirza Baig

About Dr. Baig: Dr Mirza Abdullah Baig obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2009 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2018. He is an experienced General Physician who can manage a variety of medical conditions.
Dr Baig has a special interest in rheumatology and is happy to review patients with undifferentiated joint pains, fatigue or auto-immune symptoms.
In addition to English, he is also fluent in Hindi and Urdu.
Dr. Muhammad Hashim

About Dr. Hashim: Dr Muhammad Hashim is an Australian based health professional. He has completed specialist training in General and Acute Care Medicine at Eastern Health Victoria and currently holds a public specialist appointment at Maroondah and Box Hill Hospitals.
He also consults privately at Mitcham Rd Consulting Suites and provides inpatient care at a number of hospitals including Knox, Mitcham, Ringwood and Bellbird private hospitals.
He has special clinical interest in managing complex medical cases, heart failure, hypertension and arthritis. He has extensive experience in perioperative medicine having provided this service at Eastern Health for many years. Dr Hashim is fluent in other languages – Urdu, Hindi and Persian.
Dr. Janan Chandrananth

About Dr. Janan: Janan has a unique, specialised international experience and also grew up locally in nearby Beaconsfield.
He obtained his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2012 and completed his Orthopaedic training rotating throughout Australia. He was selected to undertake a 6-month paediatric Orthopaedic Fellow position at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Oregon, USA.
After completing his training and becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA), he completed international fellowships in Japan and the United Kingdom. In Tokyo, he was trained by the illustrious past Japanese Society Surgery of the Foot (JSSF) President, Professor Satoru Ozeki, where he became experienced in ankle reconstruction techniques, foot and ankle arthroscopy procedures, foot corrective osteotomy techniques and ankle preservation procedures. Whilst here, he also gained experience in knee alignment and replacement.
He then completed a fellowship in Bristol under the tutelage of well renowned foot and ankle surgeons, three of which were past British Foot and Ankle Society (BOFA) Presidents. Here Janan became proficient in arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques for the whole gamut of foot and ankle conditions. While working in this major center for ankle arthroplasty, Janan became familiar with Total Ankle Replacements by working with high volume arthroplasty surgeon, Mr Stephen Hepple. As part of his British fellowship training, he achieved his Postgraduate Diploma (MIPDEd) in Orthopaedic surgery.
Janan has a strong martial arts background, which has influenced his balanced mindset when providing your care. He also enjoys teaching and mentoring students through his involvement with the University of Melbourne.
