Mr. Rez Rahim is a skilled Spine, Hip, and Knee Surgeon based in Melbourne. In addition to his local expertise, he has received international fellowship training in complex spine surgery. This advanced training includes minimally invasive techniques, deformity correction, hip and knee replacements, as well as advanced microscopic and endoscopic spinal surgery.
With a reputation as a compassionate and results-driven spine surgeon in Melbourne, Mr. Rahim ensures that his patients receive the most up-to-date and effective treatments. After completing prestigious fellowships — including one with Professor Peter Varga in Budapest — he specialised in spinal tumour surgeries such as En-Bloc resection and sacrectomies. Furthermore, he continued to refine his expertise at the Neurosurgical Unit at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University in Seoul.

Mr. Rahim is an active researcher with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals. Moreover he regularly presents at international conferences, contributing to the global medical community. Being fluent in English, Russian, Sinhalese, and basic Indonesian enables him to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of his practice, Mr. Rahim supports the ‘Foundation of Goodness’, an organization that provides education and employment opportunities to underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. In addition to his medical career, Mr. Rahim is a former international rugby player. Passionate about the sport, he continues to support the Wallabies.
